HDTV & The Digital TV Transition

The most famous intersection in the family living room for generations, the traditional analog NTSC television set – the one everyone had for it was the only one available – is no more!
This solitary symbol, after standing steadfastly by so many decades, TV as we know – your TV – is now replaced. By the evolution of display technology, a new television has emerged; so different, a new TV “Paragon” was created. This ‘almost perfect’ model consists of a whole new set of icons instead of the One. Yesterday’s TV has yielded today: DTV SDTV … … … EDTV HDTV.
Since entering the new millennium, we have seen a number of important social changes that have actually changed how we live from day to day. Television in the Twenty-First Century is a feature of some of these veranderingen.TV, has long been inactive, finally emerged from the shadows where it dozed for decades. Now in the full light of a new era, TV has finally awakened to its full potential. The proof is shown by this surprising revelation, new vision. Digital TV is the bright dawn of a new day, after the long night of traditional TV.
The image quality of the new (digital) Standard Definition TV – “SDTV” – this is surprisingly superior to traditional analog TV, and the question arises – How Analog televisions survive so long with such an obviously poor picture quality? It is clear that we did not know what we missed!
SDTV but it was just the beginning. While we were learning about Digital TV, there was another “better” TV. This was identified as “High Definition Television.” It was said to be “incredibly better” than SDTV Digital.
However, while the High Definition TV (HDTV) is “digital” TV, it’s not quite the same as SDTV.The two have separate and distinctly different formats.

Often, people who have not experienced HDTV will ask how to tell when a television is an HDTV.No problem – you know you watch an HDTV if your immediate reaction is … ”W O W!” … often followed by an involuntary exclamation of “… Unbelievable!”
