Warranty Panasonic

does anyone have this problem with there panasonic digital camcorder. Firewire no longer transfers video?
The camera is a Panasonic 3CCD digital camcorder.
Model PV-GS120
Just looking to see if anyone else has encountered this problem, and if there was an alternative to sending oiit tpo panasonic, since my warranty is out of date and they want to charge $150.00 just to look at it.
Any help on this would be greatly welcome
What kind of computer and software are you using? If FCP on a Mac (the best solution btw), you can try the discussion boards for answers. you may need to do some troubleshooting. Try on another computer, try a different cable, reload the software, etc.
Often you need the camera on and connected when you start up the computer. Make sure that you don’t have conflicting software.
Firewire ports on camera rarely go bad, sometime’s they are just dirty. Try a new, short, high quallity cable first….
