http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8019789&st=vrd-mc3&type=product&id=1156203864670
^^ exact model
i was wondering if i could record a dvd and burn it on it
for example if i can put a dvd in the dvd player and record as im watching it.
This dvd is an old indian movie REALLY REALLY old so i am wondering if it can be can be done
Assuming that the DVD is not copyright protected this should be possible. If it is protected, you will need to crack the CSS encryption. You can google for a great program called DVD shrink and that should take care of the encryption.
Cheers!

How do I winterize a strawberry/guava tree.Been known to be hardy in zone 7 whereI live?
Winterize strawberry/guava tree in zone 7 can be hardy in that region, sometimes getting several inches of snow throughout the winter also allot of freezing rain. The tree/bush is about 2 feet tall and was planted in the spring with 4-6 inches of mulch around the base.
Put it in a sheltered area, near a wall, but where it can get rain, and put a couple of mulched up bags of leaves over it. It should be fine. I did this for my special Rose of Sharon. Yes there are SOME Rose of Sharons that are special. Good luck,
arum

how do you calculate the load on support points of a triangular frame (bracket) mounted to a wall?
The setup: the bracket is a right triangle mounted perpendicular to a wall so that one leg (AB) is against the wall, one leg (BC) extends out from wall (these form 90degree angle) and hypotenuse (CA) is in compression (extending down and back to the bottom of leg AB) when a downward point load (1000lb.) is applied to point C. Points A and B are fixed to the wall with mechanical connectors. Legs AB and BC are equal length (2 feet). Assume frame and connectors are of adequate strength. Questions: What is the required shear strength of connectors at A and B? What is the pullout resistance or tension on connector at B? What is the compressive force on member BC?
assume the frame connections are fixed and the frame is more than adequate to support the loads. i am only interested in the forces at the two connections to the wall–points A and B.
think of it as determining the shear strength of bolts at these two points and the pull-out resistance of the bolt anchor at point B.
points a and b take 1/2 load in shear (500 lb each)
tension at b = 1000 (2ft)/(2ft) =1000 lb
thus a is 1000 in the other direction (sum of F in hor. = 0)
