Does anyone know of a HD DVR with a DVD recorder, and multiple tuners?
Does anyone know of a HD DVR with a DVD recorder, and multiple tuners? IF NOT, do you know of a NON TIVO, CABLE COMPANY, or SATELITE dvr with multiple tuners?
I would prefer to be able to purchase the device and not have to worry about any other fees.
Unfortunately, that means that Tivo, direct TV, dish network, or any cable company DVR are not what i am looking for. Thanks though.
Scientific Atlanta (Now Cisco) has a prototype DVD DVR out. It has two HD tuners, DVR functionality and a DVD burner. It has to be supported by your cable company though. There is no way to "bootleg it" to make it work for free. You would be stuck paying the fees. I would check with your cable company and ask about the Scientific Atlanta DVD DVR.
You are not going to find a "NON TIVO, CABLE COMPANY, or SATELLITE dvr" with those functions you listed. Cable companies keep those functions propitiatory and there is also copyright laws that would prevent all of that from being in one device.
