Review: Toshiba 47XL700A
Toshiba’s 47XL700A may still lag behind its competitors in terms of absolute bleeding-edge features, but it is undoubtedly the company’s best TV yet.

Rca Dlp

I am having problems with my RCA DLP TV, I think it has something to do with the color wheel?

thats the first thing to go out on a dlp television, it costs about $300-$500 to fix, might as well get a newer one with those prices and do stay away from dlp, go with a plasma or a lcd, sorry

Strength Satellite

Why would an XM radio suddenly loose reception and how can we get old time radio shows w/out satellite radio?

My Father’s XM radio worked fine for over a year and then suddenly its reception began fading in and out. We tried adjusting the antenna but it kept doing the same thing. The antenna doesn’t have a battery, so it’s not that the battery needs replacing. The people at XM radio had no idea either, all they did was tell me it needs to be facing the south side of the building. Well true, it is in my Dad’s north window, but that doesn’t explain why it worked fine in this location for over a year. It is useless to him on the south end of his apartment because he listens in his bedroom while he goes to sleep. Did XM Radio change their signal strength? Did their satellite position move? He eventually cancelled the subscription and returned the radio to Best Buy (it was still under warranty). Now he is without his Old Time Radio shows. Are there any other ways to get Old Time Radio programs without satellite radio? He doesn’t have a computer, so that isn’t an option for him.

Sometimes the satelite gets blocked by the
sun and won’t work for a short period of time.

Old time shows? Try your AM stations.

Edtv Lcd

What is a good HDTV for gaming?

I am looking for an HDTV, I know what I want but I need help. I want a 16:9(widescreen) LCD HDTV. 720P or 1080P and between 37 and 42 inches. I don’t have a lot of money to work with, $2,100 is my max amount. I would prefer a brand that I know like Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic, Samsung, or something with good quality. I have looked at some HD’s but they’re all so expensive, so I want one that I will not regret buying. There are a lot of brands that I have never heard of like Westinghouse or Vizio, so could you tell me some trustworthy brands? What are your thoughts and suggestions? And if you could tell me where I can get one with good picture quality, sound, and at a good price?

And I don’t want 1080i, EDTV, DLP, CRT, Plasma, or a knockoff.

good idea. avoid plasma at all costs. gaming is hard on plasma TV’s and can actually damage them. I played a video game on a Sony Wega plasma TV and an image was actually burned into the screen from the game. the best TV to get is an LCD. I have a Sharp Aquos LCD and I love it. the graphics are so clear and beautiful (making my horror survival games even freakier) even when I play my PS1 games.
